At Cold Water K9, we offer a board + train program for dogs 6 months and older, focusing on comprehensive training.
We limit our program to 2 dogs per month, ensuring each dog gets personalized attention and care. Dogs receive daily training, pack walks, and trips to stores and parks, all while living a structured lifestyle with real-world practice. Our goal is to help you confidently take your dog anywhere and strengthen your bond at home.
Weekly training sessions with you are included so you feel prepared to continue the progress once your dog returns. We don’t just train dogs – we train owners too!

ALL-IN-ONE BOARD + TRAIN
4 WEEKS | FOR DOGS 6 MONTHS & UP
Our All-In-One Board + Train is a 4-week program where your dog lives with us and adopts a structured lifestyle. They’ll receive daily training to master basic commands with extended duration and focus, even around distractions, while also addressing unwanted behaviors.
Many dogs know basic commands but struggle with consistency, distractions, or behavioral issues. During the program, we address these challenges to ensure your dog reliably holds commands like sit, down, or place until released, responds promptly to cues, walks calmly on a loose leash, and comes when called – even in busy or challenging environments.
During our All-In-One Board + Train Program, your dog will learn:
- Sit, down, and place with duration
- Off-leash recall
- Marker words
- Loose leash walking and remaining neutral on walks
- Crate manners
- Proper socialization and public behavior
- Appropriate household manners
- Structured routines and schedules
- Eliminating unwanted behaviors specific to your dog
The All-In-One Board + Train includes:
- Elevated bed for the “place” command
- Mini Educator E-Collar
- Herm Sprenger prong collar
- 1 private lesson with owner per week during their stay (we will travel back to you and train in your home)
- 3 follow up lessons post board + train (training in your home or out in public settings)
- Frequent updates as desired on your dog’s progress, pictures, and videos via text
- Individualized go-home homework tailored to you and your dog
- Unlimited phone and email support
- Free monthly group walks for graduates
